"Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to become a nurse. My mother was in the hospital a lot and I looked up to the nurses who were always there for her. I thought that I could care for someone else's mother the way those nurses took care of mine. And I do, but I've found I especially like to care for children. People say I have the gift of laughter. Laughter really is the best medicine-it's so important and it's something kids can relate to. I'll get down on the floor with them and play. They think I'm just a big kid. They trust me and know that I'm going to take good care of them. I'm so glad I became a nurse. I wouldn't be happy doing anything else."
