Choosing where you’ll deliver your baby is no small decision. At Southeastern Regional Medical Center, we understand your concerns. That’s why we’ve designed a very special place for your special delivery - the NewLife Birthing Suites. This highly specialized area blends the latest in medical technology and equipment with the home-like touches that make your baby’s birth all the more memorable. And best of all, it’s here, close to home, friends, and family. 



You’ll have all the support and experience of a dedicated and devoted staff. From pre-birth to postnatal classes, we’ll be with you all the way. Within seconds, the cozy bedroom transforms into a high-tech delivery suite. When you are ready to deliver, you won’t have to be moved from your room or away from those you want near.
Your doctor, nurses, and technicians have everything at their fingertips to deliver your baby safely into your arms. If your delivery is without complications, your healthy newborn will be weighed and examined in your room. An alcove in your room houses a mini-nursery, allowing you to keep your baby close soon after delivery.

Should situations or complications arise during your pregnancy or labor which your doctor feels necessitate a cesarean delivery, the staff of the NewLife Birthing Suites have their own fully-equipped operating and recovery room. 



Most babies are born healthy and are admitted to our 36-bed newborn nursery. But, sometimes, babies are born prematurely or with conditions that require special medical attention. At the NewLife Birthing Suites, our Level II nursery can accommodate these babies in our specially designed protective environment equipped with monitors, respirators, and isolettes. We also have arrangements with other medical centers if your baby should need transfer to a tertiary facility. Whatever care is appropriate, newborns here receive it from highly trained nurses and pediatricians.There is also a parenting room nearby so that parents may spend time nursing or learning to care for an infant’s special needs before it is time to go home.
