WoodHaven earns five stars for overall performance and quality measures
WoodHaven Nursing and Alzheimer’s Care Center, an affiliate of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, has been awarded a five-star overall performance rating by Nursing Home Compare, Medicare’s online resource for information about every Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing home throughout the country. The rating is based on three sources of data including health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
“Our mission is to provide holistic, nurturing care in a homelike environment, while promoting resident satisfaction,” said Director Barbara Collins. “We are proud for the community to be able to see how we compare to other nursing facilities in the region. We have a truly compassionate staff that cares for our patients every day.”
WoodHaven is the only skilled, long-term care facility in Robeson and Bladen County to receive the five-star overall rating.
According to medicare.gov, the Five-Star Quality Rating System was created to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and help identify areas about which more information is needed.
In addition to the overall rating, WoodHaven was awarded the five-star rating for quality measures which consist of 19 quality measures that are self-reported by participating facilities.
WoodHaven Nursing and Alzheimer’s Care Center is a 115-bed nursing home offering both skilled nursing and intermediate care and includes a 15-bed unit dedicated exclusively to the care of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. For more information, call (910) 671-5703.
